Spring Ruth Friedlander is a local activist and Green "house doctor," with a strong background in construction. She has been a Green house remodeler/carpenter since 1980. Since I am semi-retired, I am doing small hands-on construction projects.

Biography

I am weaving a growing Eco-Village / Co-Housing Affinity Group / Communal Grapevine in an organized 4 block area in North Oakland next to Berkeley, CA. Spring has lived in her own 3-generation 7-person collective house for 40 years. She is currently involved with networking and linking co-ops, collectives and Co-Housing Communities through the new organization, the East Bay Shared Housing Coalition. They meet about every three months for a Saturday afternoon gathering. Spring is a Jewish progressive “old-timer”, who has been an “out” bisexual since the early 1970's. My brother Dan Friedlander, class of 1962, died in July 2012.
