Biography

I left Chicago in 1965 to relocate to San Francisco, the city I could only dream about during snowstorms and blizzards in the Windy City. I recently retired from teaching ESL at City College of San Francisco. I volunteer in a Spanish bilingual kindergarten class, practice yoga, walk the hills, and take Lindy Hop and Argentine tango classes. I'm currently writing a memoir about my childhood in Hyde Park and my grown-up years in my adopted city of San Francisco. In between words and yoga poses, I enjoy collecting seashells at the beach with my grandson and playing games with him.
