Well now, praise the Lord. Seems to me there was a note on the previous aitchpe.com that Plato had pancreatic cancer. I thought for sure he was a goner long ago.

Al Spearmen lives near me, saw Pegi Stavish in Calif. back in May !!

I never knew Al very much personally. Nice to hear you were able to make contact with Pegi.

Am in touch w Sidney Jones, Beverly Harris, Van Jackson, Cliff McLaurin and several others, and continue to meet folk w HP connections. Am close to John L Lewis, and thru him, John G Lewis, and know where a few others are. My hope is to have a 1962 reunion in 2012 -- can't believe it's been 50 years. Wife and I do plan to travel in our retirement, and Arizona is high on the list because it's the only state in lower 48 I have not set foot in.

Do you ever get up this way?

I have lived in Alaska for the past 38 years and that is not conducive to keeping up with folks. I was hoping to find some old friends when I posted all of the old Ray School class photos, but so far Joel Shufro and Tommy Wetzel are the only ones I have connected with! I am not on Facebook and not very savy about this.

I am surprised. That you are still alive speaks volumes about your character. IMO you are among the few, the proud, the survivors!

AZ is a 4-season state and the good thing is you can immerse yourself in any of them but just driving to a location. It is good to be able to reach out and 'talk' to old (I mean ... really old) and former friends. Take some time, if you will, and tell me your story ... from HP, your music, the highs.
